On the #LoveChange Showcase: Butch James’ RWC mementos

Even though Andrew David James, better known as “Butch”, is currently focused on amateur mountain biking (he’s completed two Absa Cape Epics) he will always be known for his rugby playing career.  Even though Butch is a fly-half, he’s also played inside centre on occasion. He’s taken part in both the 2011 and 2007 Rugby World Cups. The highlight of his career was the 2007 Rugby World Cup final, a game he never gets tired of watching.

There’s some bad news for the Absa Cape Epic 2016, but great news for Butch and his wife. Baby boy number two is on his way. The choice between his third Absa Cape Epic and being there for the birth of his second son, was a “no-brainer”, says Butch.

Butch James played in two Rugby World Cups and, instead of the fake ligament he initially planned on bringing, he has brought mementos from both. The RWC 2007 programme and RWC 2011 name plate look stunning on our #LoveChange ShowCase. Thanks Butch!

* Every week, a guest on The Dan Nicholl Show donates an item for display on the #LoveChange Showcase, which is a collection of memories and Change Moments. These items tie into BrightRock’s and the Change Exchange’s #LoveChange philosophy. BrightRock are the official sponsors of the show. Remember to tune in on SuperSport 1 every Wednesday at 19:00 to see Dan interviewing his Bright and Beautiful guests. And we’ll of course also be sharing some more highlights here on the Change Exchange.
