After a long flight our man Dave has finally arrived in São Paulo and has missed the opening ceremony. Dave does not let this dampen his spirits however and is keen to get into ‘senior sports reporter’ mode! First stop is the hotel. . . is there room at the inn though?

The best thing about travelling to Brazil is that you don’t need a visa when you travel on a South African passport. This is fantastic because, as a person who used to hold only a Ugandan passport, visa offices are like a firing squad to me.

Dave gets ready for Brazil – Episode 2
As Dave gets ready for his Big Break in Brazil, Dave cleans up his act and enjoys a shave and a head massage. He makes a stop to collect his very important business cards, but by this stage Dave is running late and we can only hope he makes his flight.

Dave sorta quits LNN – Episode 1
We’re excited to share the first episode of Dave’s Big Break Brazil. In this report Dave quits his job and embraces change by accepting a Big Break to visit Brazil and be a sports reporter. His LNN friends are not happy and emotions are high.

The Postcard
We received this postcard from Dave, fairly alarming considering he’s only just arrived there. It’s going to be a long 4 weeks! At least he’s wearing his suit, that’s comforting. The thought of him running around in Brazil wearing only socks, a scarf and a vuvuzela was a terrifying one (we don’t have bail money.)
