Liani hails from the small town of Malalane in the Lowveld right next to the Kruger National Park and went to school in Pretoria. After graduating with a performing arts degree in Stellenbosch she lived in Taipei, Taiwan for two years where she worked as an English Teacher and National Projects Coordinator. A decade down the line, she lives in Greenside, Johannesburg with her partner of five years. As a key account manager at a major print media company, she works on magazine advertising solutions and her partner is an architect. When she’s not working, she plays the piano, studies Mandarin, bakes, does triathlons and writes.
Liani recently gave birth to twins and she and her partner are very excited to be first time mothers. In over a year of keeping a fertility diary, she has documented 300 pages of happenings, stories, research, costs and photos for the kids to read their birth story one day. Her motto is life’s too short to be miserable. She has an adventurous soul and believes that good things happen to those who endure.
