At the age of 18, Marlize moved from a small town to Johannesburg to be one of the first interns at an animation and gaming development studio. After working at the studio for a year, she decided to do a double major in Illustration and Design and, after three years, she obtained both her degrees. After graduating she took a gap year to work on her personal portfolio and moved to Cape Town to work at Am I Collective for a year. She is currently working at Triggerfish Animation Studios as a Concept Artist.
