On the #LoveChange Showcase: Ard Matthews’ guitar strap

Ard rose to fame as the lead singer of South African rock band Just Jinjer, who had Big Breaks in their legendary career with opening stints for bands like U2 and Def Leppard. The band was based in Los Angeles for several years before returing to South Africa. Shortly after their return, Ard rose back in the local spotlight for the wrong reasons:

During an appearance on this week’s The Dan Nicholl Show, Ard did some serious reflection on this painful chapter in his life and career.

And with The Dan Nicholl Show airing on SuperSport 1, this also happened to be Ard’s first appearance since that performance of the National Anthem. Watch him redeeming himself with an excellent performance in the clip below:

Looking at his amazing performance on the show, it’s once again a reminder of what an the honour it is to have a piece of Ard on the #LoveChange Showcase. Yes, that’s right! Ard donated a prized piece of South African rock history for the Showcase:

* Every week, a guest on The Dan Nicholl Show donates an item for display on the #LoveChange Showcase, which is a collection of memories and Change Moments. These items tie into BrightRock’s and the Change Exchange’s #LoveChange philosophy. BrightRock are the official sponsors of the show. Remember to tune in on SuperSport 1 every Wednesday at 20:30 to see Dan interviewing his Bright and Beautiful guests. And we’ll of course also be sharing some more highlights here on the Change Exchange.
