I’m sitting outside. The winter sun is a soft kiss and the breeze is just shy of chilly.
My eyes are closed and my mind is focused. I’m “manifesting”.
I know exactly what I want — it’s a secret — and I’m visualising my life as if I’ve already received it.
My imagination fills in the emotions and sensations I will experience when that moment, when I get what I want, becomes a part of my reality.
I think, therefore I am.
When I first stumbled onto manifesting, I was suspicious. A friend told me she had “manifested” a sum of money, a car, and her dream house.
After a year of being suspicious, I decided to try a year of being curious. I asked my friend how she did it.
This led me to her “manifesting coach”, who showed me how it’s done. It’s not overly complicated and requires no dancing around under a full moon.
What it does require is setting a goal. That’s because when you are clear about what you want from life and you focus on the goal, you are more likely to see and take the opportunities that will get you where you want to go.
Of course, you can’t just “manifest” a house or a car or the perfect job. That’s ridiculous.
Manifesting is only part of the process. You can’t manifest a bestselling novel if you’re not going to bother writing it. You can’t manifest the perfect home if you don’t look for it.
Manifesting means programming your mind to see opportunities so you can take them. Manifesting + Action = Results.
It is a powerful way for you to gain control over the shape of your life. It can be quick, or it can be slow. But for me, it works. I’ve manifested new clients, a dream gig, and some amazing connections.
Right now, I’m manifesting someone from my fibre company answering the phone. This is definitely one of the slow ones!
