In this episode, Dan has the pleasure of being guided through a delicious looking meal by South African ‘legend in the kitchen’, Chef Peter Templehoff.
Dan manages to get Peter to put his shirt back on before they get started, and the two begin. Peter guides Dan through the process of producing a sumptuous looking Chicken Paillard, as taught to him by one of the great Italian chefs. They talk kitchen mishaps, of which Dan seems to have quite a few.
Peter demonstrates skills and finesse, flattening a chicken breast to around 3mm thick, before plating together a wholesome and mouth-watering work of art. Dan got the memo about the tongs, but he may have mistaken it for ‘thongs’.
They discuss the music for meals project and how they’ve been providing meals for those in need. They encourage all to spread the love and get involved in supporting the initiative, a truly fantastic cause!
Watch and find out if Dan manages to execute this simple yet artful dish.
