On the #LoveChange Showcase: James Thompson’s Olympics Mascot

On the 2nd of August, 2012, James Thompson and his team Sizwe Ndlovu, John Smith and Matthew Brittain made history when they won gold for rowing, the first gold medal in this category for South Africa. We take a look back at this exhilarating event:

This year, James is going back for more. There’s still a lot of training ahead of Rio 2016, including both high and low altitude training. But, in the second week, James and his teammates plan to just enjoy the atmosphere of the Olympics, hopefully rubbing shoulders with the big international names of the sporting world.

James brought the London Olympics mascot for the #LoveChange Showcase, it’s a strange one-eyed creature…we patiently await James’ return from the Olympics with a gold medal and perhaps another mascot, preferably with two eyes.

* Every week, a guest on The Dan Nicholl Show donates an item for display on the #LoveChange Showcase, which is a collection of memories and Change Moments. These items tie into BrightRock’s and the Change Exchange’s #LoveChange philosophy. BrightRock are the official sponsors of the show. Remember to tune in on SuperSport 1 every Wednesday at 19:00 to see Dan interviewing his Bright and Beautiful guests. And we’ll of course also be sharing some more highlights here on the Change Exchange.
