Chris Bertish has a very unique claim to fame: he holds the record for the biggest wave surfed, in history. The Capetonian won the “Titans of Mavericks” big wave surf competition in 2010. While Chris seems pretty modest about his achievement, we’re sure that you’d agree that successfully tackling an 18 metre wave is no small feat!
Chris seems like a man who knows how to face his fears when it comes to surfing, but what about “real life”? That, he says, he has learnt to handle through applying what he’s learned through surfing to his everyday life.
“Stoked” a book by Chris Bertish has been added to the #LoveChange Showcase, it’s a book about “courage,determination and the power of dreams”. Who knows, maybe one day we’ll see Dan taking on the big breakers.
